Wasim Shafi - Planet Dulux

Planet Dulux®

From fuzzy flowers in distant lands
To kamikaze bees buzzing you mad
From chocolaty children and ginger bread sand
To panorama fields in the palm of your hand

From kaleidoscopic cities doped-up on drugs
To a maggot in this ‘Pho’ soup you mug
From lippy ladies that ‘love you long time’
To crazy weirdo’s begging for a shoe shine

There’s something crunchy in my mouth Mr Waiter
Is it a sugar-coated a-la alligator?
There’s a mould growing on my hotel radiator
Time to check out baby – see ya later

The rain is pouring through my socks I say
that leach has been feasting on me since yesterday
It’s grown so fat, juicy and golden ripe
Yummy, I think I’m gonna take a bite

There comes a time when man must wonder
How on earth did he get so far yonder?
So far away from home with nothing to wear
Except somebody’s bra which I think is lying over there

My batteries are low and my power is iffy
Yet with one pelvic thrust I can blackout Hanoi city
My legs are like Jell-O and awfully weak
Then I see this beautiful girl and my heart skips a beat

I run after her at 10,000 metres per second
Olympic gold medal – what do you reckon
Then I tell her whilst into her innermost I stare
clinging from a lamp-post like Fred Astaire:

“What do you see through those starburst eyes?
Can you see the pixels jump out alive?
A Chromatic – Widescreen - Technicolor life
A ready made Dulux® world
For us to find”
