Warhol and Picasso team up

Sotheby's auction house in London is previewing valuable pieces of art to come under the hammer in their worldwide salerooms this season.

The estimated value of the entire exhibition is a third of a billion pounds or 478 million U.S. dollars.

The display comes at the start of 'Frieze week' which attracts the attention of collectors worldwide.

One item of particular interest is Andy Warhol's "Silver Car Crash (Double Disaster)", estimated to reach $60 million at an upcoming New York auction.

Tobias Meyer, Head of Contemporary Art at Sotheby's explained why this piece is so valuable.

"It's a completely unique event in the art market. These large disaster paintings are mostly held in museums. There are two more single panel ones in private hands but no double panel ones and that's why this is such an event."
