The first step in the goods receiving process is a feedback signal to ant, the warehouse management system. All goods returned are being checked for completeness and possible resale. Afterwards all goods being repacked and a bare code, is assigned. At Witt, SSI Schaefer has implemented a hybrid technology with bar code labels and RFID technology. The storage and retrieval performance is multiply. This results in an increase of the pick rate per employee up to 600 picks per hour at each picking station.
