Walterrean Salley - GOLDEN FIELDS

I remember the straw fields
(When I was young) ,
Shimmering and glimmering
In the sun.

Their golden blades
Embraced a world
Of innocence,
Where dreams unfurled.

As children, there,
We happily played.
Jumped, ran,
And simply laid.

Absorbing the warmth
Of the sun.
Those golden fields
Were so much fun.
