Wall Street Edges Lower Before Earnings
Description
U.S. stocks edged lower after the open on Tuesday with investors having little reason to buy equities after the recent rally as they waited for the start later on Tuesday of the U.S. quarterly earnings season.
The IMF cut its global growth forecast for the second time since April and warned U.S. and European policy makers that failure to fix their economic problems would prolong the slump.
