According to Islamic teachings, faith (Eemaan) can increase and decrease based on a person's actions, intentions, and state of mind. This concept is mentioned in various verses of the Quran and Hadith.

The Quran mentions that believers who have faith and do righteous deeds will have their faith increased by Allah. For example, in Surah Al-Anfal, verse 2, it says: "The believers are only those who, when Allah is mentioned, their hearts become fearful, and when His verses are recited to them, it increases them in faith."

Conversely, the Quran also mentions that disbelievers or those who reject faith will have their hearts sealed and their faith decreased. For example, in Surah Al-Mutaffifin, verse 14, it says: "No! Rather, the stain has covered their hearts of that which they were earning."

In addition, Hadith literature also speaks about the increase and decrease of faith. For example, it is reported that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "The deeds are considered by the intentions, and a person will get the reward according to his intention. So whoever emigrated for Allah and His Apostle, then his emigration was for Allah and His Apostle. And whoever emigrated for worldly benefits or for a woman to marry, then his emigration was for what he emigrated for." (Sahih Bukhari)

Therefore, according to Islamic teachings, faith (Eemaan) can increase through acts of worship, obedience to Allah, and righteous deeds, and it can decrease through sins, disobedience, and neglect of worship. It is essential for Muslims to continuously work on increasing their faith and to seek Allah's guidance and forgiveness for any shortcomings or weaknesses
