Vitalant Platelet Donor Honorees

Vitalant’s Century Club honors donors who have achieved 300+ lifetime donations. These donors give platelets, which can be given more frequently. Platelet donors spend about two hours every visit, up to 24 times per year, giving the smallest most perishable component of whole blood that is often required by cancer and leukemia patients. During this segment we will present lifetime achievement awards to three of Arizona’s top donors who have reached donation milestones only achieved by few people. Cumulatively, these three donors have given an amazing 1,854 donations. Because each donation provides enough platelets for up to three patient transfusions, their efforts have transformed as many as 5,562 lives!
