Don’t expect me to be your saviour,
Don’t ask me for redemption
Don’t shout or chant for false hope
Don’t expect me to listen.

Oh im sick of all the wanting
Just let me live a life of pain
In the quiet peaceful countryside
Let me walk in shallow rain

The puddles of life are quick to go
The muddle left behind is the past
The pain and torture will give way to
Shallow empty thoughts

The thoughts may corrode me
It may leave me silent,
It may leave me with no will,
But thoughts are mine

Don’t expect me to serve you
Give in to your way of life
Acting like a mongrel
Pleading for a taste of wine.

The faces seen are all blank
No mirror can bring forth
The reflection
That I ache to see.

The mind brings out the blankness
Stares into space
It can never relate.

Al purpose is lost now
No use in drawing another breathe
Death, you don’t seem so bad now

Come closer and touch my lips
Take me away to your heavenly abode
Make me live no more.
