Viola Grey - Lost

The shadows whisper
names of the dead
as silence screams -
I've lost him....
I've lost you, again.

Hungry demons devour
ice cold tears,
feasting their eyes
on my fragile heart,
burning lost dreams
as dry as leaves.

Wherever I go, I know,
I'm lost once more
without stars
echoing in your smile.
Dull is the glimmer
of hope, dying
upon cold, worn paths
of unsure love.
