Viola Grey - Daisies

If I chose this rocky path
then why do I fight
to walk through fields
of plush daisies.

You say I desire pain
and walk away from love,
but I opened the gate
you failed to find.
So, who then is to blame?

I'm only ever going to be
who I want them to see,
that person you're seeking
is a reflection of your mind.

I shall walk in the light,
shadows chill my glow
and I'll always be searching
for that glorious field
of plush daisies.
