I sat alone
Lost in the crowd
Gazing up lazily
Into darkness around

Lo, up above
My dream twinkling
Quiet and gentle
All smiles, and shining

Quirk of time
Or plain hard luck
Brilliance crashed
Into tears countless

Stretched my hands
For divine bliss
Tears filled my hands
Dark and red

Blood surged up
Painting sky red
Death of a dream or
A new dawn of life?
