I come in at night
When you’re not aware
Creeping and crawling
I’m everywhere
I block out the sun
Snuff out the lights
Once I’m here
You’ll lose sight
I’ll cover the Earth
Til my time is up
After several hours
My blanket tears up
Fear me you may
There’s nothing you can do
For I am the constant
That’s right I’m right behind you

Under my blanket
My minions lurk
They’ll roll you all over
Leaving you in the dirt
Vampires, bats and ghoulies too
All huddle close to me
Playing bebop/blues
Until light breaks through
Satan prefers me
Over light of day
As I roll in
He emerges “Hip Hip Hooray! ”

But do not fear me
I’m not a bad bloke
For when I arrive
So do quiet and peace
So rejoice when I come
Hold a great feast
Pump up the music
Unleash your inner beast
