vincent armone - Off the soap box

On the soap box
the speaker raised his mighty voice
ranting and raving that you must make a choice

He paused for a minute
sweeping his eyes over the crowd
not a smile any among them know were to be found
but it was not lack of smiles that disturbed him the most
it was there lack of faith it was like speaking to ghosts

So he stepped off his soap
and picked it up off the ground
raised over his head and smashed it down

The wood all a spilnter
the pile now dust
picked up his bible
and looked at the people all stunned and all flushed

I stepped off my soap box
and now i will leave
why because I was only speaking to not you, but me

The look on your faces its says it all
now i depart good by one, good by all
the speaker walked away with a tear in his eye

They finally learned to listen my job is done
and it took me stepping off my soap box to get the job done.
