Vikram Chetiar - Zion

In the womb of the deep mysterious Space,
At a distance where length is immeasurable,
Exists a land lit with thousand suns.
A land in the vastness of the Void
That blazes with the echoes of Eternity.

Where the Light of Being shines forth
In splendour and glory on all, alike;
Like a guiding beacon marching forth.
A land where a rhythm plays between
The swiftest Movement and the calmest Repose.

Where the silence of the engulfing Night
Spreads its wings of tranquility, around,
To soothe the vibrant Body and the Mind.
A land where unity arises in that
To know and to act are one and the same.

Where the Creative Forces are at work,
Stirring the Being from within,
To absorb the joy of Expression.
A land where the Formless manifests
From an unthought Idea to realised Existence.

May this be the Zion within Man
On his journey from human to divine
