Vietnam’s lost daughters

More than 3,000 Vietnamese, most of them women and children, have been trafficked between 2012 and 2017, according to Vietnam’s Ministry of Public Security. The majority end up in China, where women are in demand due to a massive gender imbalance, and where many victims face exploitation, torture and sexual abuse.
