Vidyadhara ... - ! Bread Thief

Squatting on street with vegetable for sale
Watching power and money in ugly play,
My mother fell ill one cloudy day,
To save my mother I prayed and prayed,
Prayed almighty the whole day,
Night spread its arms but help never came,
The prayer seemed to be in vain,
My mother’s pain remained same.
To save my mother from hunger and pain,
I took a loaf of bread from the baker’s pane,
On my way they held and put me in chain,
Because I stole a loaf of bread,
To save my mother who is now dead,
Died of hunger without a loaf of bread;
