Video appears to show Syrian rebels attacking Aleppo airbase

A rebel soldier appears to fire a Russian missile at a government target inside the Menakh military airport, north of Aleppo.

Moments later the rebels rejoice when the missile strikes what is said to be a tank.

On Monday, rebels appeared to battle government forces in the sprawling Menakh airport, the last government-held airbase in the northern Aleppo province.

Rebels have besieged the site for months and the latest video comes amid reports that Bashar al-Assad's forces are preparing for a major offensive on rebel-held parts of Aleppo and the surrounding area.
