Vicki Theriault - My Prayer

Lord, I pray to you tonight,
that you watch over my friends with all your might.
Please keep them safe from tears and pain,
until their gravebed they are lain.
Lord, shower them with peace and love,
as your blessings from above.
Please show them how much I care,
and that I will always be there.
Please tell them that I love them so,
way more than they could ever know.
And that they are always in my heart,
even when we are far apart.
I pray that you help them chase every dream,
no matter how out of reach they seem.
Lord, help them enjoy the little things,
and the small journeys life brings.
Please teach them to forgive,
and to be proud of the life they live.
Please help them to understand,
that I would walk through fire, just to hold their hand.
Lord tell them that life is too short to be mad,
so look for things that make them glad.
Lord show them there is nothing they can't do,
as long as they believe in you.
But Lord I pray most of all,
that they get back up after they fall.
