Vertica Provides Real-Time In-Database Analytics

While much of the current excitement around database products is focused on NoSQL solutions, Vertica's relational database product offers a solution to a number of real-time analytic problems for some of the biggest names in technology. Zynga, best known for games like Farmville, isn't a company that you'd usually think of as needing to solve challenging data problems, but providing game interactions to users and luring in their friends is a uniquely challenging problem that requires real-time analytics currently best solved by Vertica.
