Venezuela: Draft 2015 Budget

The Venezuelan government announced its draft 2015 budget, pledging more public spending. While the government acknowledges that it faces challenges, it sees the budget plans as a move which will create employment and lessen the country's reliance on imports. Some opposition members attended the budget announcement, but there was the notable absence of Enrique Capriles, who is currently meeting with right-wing politicians in the U.S. and Spain.
