Globalist and out of the schemes, Veeblefetzer is a sousaphonic contraption made of brass, gypsy, folk’n’roll skelter bouncy rhythms. An imaginary delight that unites dub echoes in the shacks of Kingston and flashes of pure rock'n'roll, between a funeral in New Orleans and a gypsy wedding in the balcan countryside. The guitars hovering between reggae and manouche get mixed up with brass riffs over a rhythmic dovetail made of drums and typewriter. The bass frequencies all rely on the mighty sousaphone, a sort of tuba for parades: everything sounds very original and recognizable, as a punk little orchestra could do. The lyrics depict stories of landscapes, trails, changes, tastes and memories, ambionts and disappointments, travels and inner turmoil. Lively, colourful, charming and somehow cursed band, like a poet could be or a street busker. The music seems coming out of a freak show tent or a pirates party, it recalls blues as well as balcan and south american sounds.

Un attitudine musicale globalista e fuori dagli schemi, quasi che una linea immaginaria ma in fondo tangibile unisca echi di dub tra le baracche di Kingston e sprazzi di puro rock'n'roll con chitarre in bilico tra reggae e manouche mescolate al calore dei fiati su un marchingegno ritmico fatto di tamburi e macchina da scrivere. Ciò che che rende il timbro dei brani decisamente riconoscibile e originale è il sousafono, un basso tuba da parata . Una band spontanea, colorata, vivace, ma anche un po’ maledetta, come un artista di strada. La musica è circense e piratesca, richiama atmosfere blues, ma anche sonorità della musica balcanica e sud americana. Una voce graffiante e sporca, il ritmo e la sperimentazione, la grande preparazione e la capacità di portare avanti un’idea originale: tutto questo rende la performance live unica e permette al pubblico di scatenarsi.
