Vauxhall Production Endurance Record Attempt

A team of car enthusiasts are hoping to enter the record books after driving a diesel Vauxhall Astra the equivalent of London to Baghdad - in just 24 HOURS. British car manufacturer Vauxhall set itself the target of smashing a staggering 18 speed and endurance records. But instead of opting for a high performance model they took a pair of humble hatchbacks to the Millbrook Proving Ground's High Speed Bowl in Bedfordshire for a motoring marathon. Twelve road testers were then given the mentally draining task of repeatedly thrashing the diesel Astra around the two-mile bowl.
