For the first time ever,
I let go
Like I never did before.

Reluctantly,
I let go,
Only, only, only because
You told me so.

I surrendered,
I succumbed,
I bowed,
To a phantom of darkness.

You mutilated my soul.
Led me to dream a reality
And then
Kicked upon my pregnant dreams
Until I bled to death.

Yet I let you play
Hoping- the selfish giant
Would change some day.

I let you play
Your game
Only, only, only, because
I knew -
It was none else,
None else but you.

My only offence-
I trusted you.
