Uttarakhand forest fires: Centre deploys helicopters, NDRF teams

Uttarakhand is witnessing unprecedented forest fires. Currently, there are 40 active fire spots in the forests of Nainital, Almora, Tehri Garhwal and Pauri Garhwal.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday said the government has ordered the deployment of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams and helicopters in Uttarakhand to tackle forest fires in the state.
