Description
Skill 2 – Front Floating
Once your child has been conditioned to take a breath and you are both comfortable being in a pool, front floating is the next step. A big mistake is trying to submerge or dunk children underwater, which only frightens them and actually increases the chance they will ingest water. Instead a slow, gradual approach of floating with the face in the water in needed. Watch the holds and placement of the hands carefully, this is crucial.
