Using hydropower to light up megacities in China

Virtually endless power resources are available in the mountains of the Yunnan province in Western China - hydropower. The most energy-hungry areas, however, are situated in the Pearl River Delta in the country's southeast. The growing urban centres there require reliable power supply. This video is part of a Resource Efficiency challenge by Siemens to show how eco-friendly and economical energy systems can meet the energy needs of the future.
