Sleep will not
rest upon
my dreams -
the candle burns
before its time.
Lost causes
chase the
striking clock
and moments
weep their memories.

Before this day
will dawn again
I seek rebirth
with all its pain,
longing for comfort
of that child,
which slept
and dreamed
and rested
at night...
