Uriah Hamilton - Where I’ll Decay
0 Views • Nov 07, 2014
Description
Both in prayer
And in defeat,
I’ve lied down
In wet, autumn leaves
Meditating graves
And seeking sanctuary,
I’ve been stepped on
By strangers and lovers
With the callous disregard
As if I was a rotted log.
And once, I touched a woman’s hair
Sprinkled with moonlight,
And kissed her eyes
Beside a river.
Joy and sadness,
Pain and pleasure,
I don’t know which
Will finally take me under
And where I’ll decay,
Below or above ground.
