These dirty and rainy streets
Weep like a lonely child
And my slightest happiness depends
On seeing you smile.

Ardent longing,
Like flood-swollen rivers,
In my heart never abates.

I know there is a man
Who takes your glorious kisses
Mistakenly for granted
When all my dreams converge
Into ecstasies
To merely touch your hand.

You and I will meet again,
There are a thousand poems to be written,
And even the ancient gods will read them.

I am the lovelorn poet
Placing flowers at your feet,
And you are the incomparably beautiful woman
Whom history will not forget
