Uriah Hamilton - Imperishable Love
4 Views • Nov 07, 2014
Description
I will place roses in your hair
And we will sing of amorous joy and poetry,
We will drink a subtle wine.
You and I have an imperishable love
More beautiful than golden bracelets
On slender wrists, more enduring
Than Egyptian pyramids.
I will lie down on a soft pillow
Of early summer grass like a small child
And with my eyes closed recall intimate details
Of your magical and captivating loveliness,
I will wondrously dream of your ankles
Being caressed by the clear cool water
Of a shallow stream as you wade for smooth stones
And pick up little seashells.
My desire is untamed and my compliments for you
Are as innumerable as the countless stars
That decorate the midnight sky and guide our way
Like ancient prayers that cannot be revoked.
