Uriah Hamilton - Autumn Tears
2 Views • Nov 07, 2014
Description
On a windswept city street;
I’ve been conversing with my fears
That I’ve collected like trinkets and souvenirs
Scattered across these lonely years.
I love you like an abandoned child
Who never finds his home.
I’ve staked my place
On the newspaper corners
Standing all alone.
One day, you will meet again
Your hollow, scarecrow friend
And on such a day you will understand
What your absence has done to me.
I can’t let go of this love
That never should have been.
