Urban Realty: RERA report card

In the run up to general elections 2019, Urban Realty is bringing up a special series on why urban votes matter, focusing on the big issues which affect the urban voters. One of them is the cleaning up of the real estate sector via the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act also known as RERA, which was notified by the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government in May 2016. For a middle-class home buyer who has put his life savings in buying a home for his or her family, this act was meant to be a protection against all kinds of developer delay, default and of course broken promises.
