Description
Rarely has a coalition in Germany been so disunited as the one between the conservative CDU/CSU and the business-friendly FDP in 2010. The coalition partners argued about budget deficits and tax cuts. They called each other names. While Chancellor Angela Merkel earned points with surprisingly good economic figures, the Free Democrats seem to be paying the price. Their popularity with voters is at low ebb.
