UPGRADING A SQUIER MINI STRATOCASTER- ON A BUDGET

I have wanted to have a small stratocaster but the only one available was the Squier "Mini" but I wanted to have locking tuners and noiseless pickups for a better sound and playing experience. There were no kits out there and I have not had the best of luck with guitar finishes so decided to buy a "mini" and upgrade it. I was also going to add a graphite nut but during the process realized that I had purchased a "43 mm " nut and the Squier had a "40 mm " nut so I had to keep the original nut. I also wanted to keep the project on a budget.
