UPA crashes Indian dreams

NewsX: Manmohan Singh was the jewel in the UPA's crown, the 'messiah' of India's economic reforms was seen as the creator of the Indian dream. So, its ironical that the UPA's failure has been worst on the economic front. It has failed to respond effectively to the global slowdown and its failed to act on new reforms when it did act, the UPA actually added to India's woes by coming up with cockeyed ideas like retrospective tax. The result - GDP growth is the lowest in a decade. Industrial growth is barely 1 percent and FDI and the Rupee are falling. Only Inflation rising.
