Unintelligible Susurration - Gansito

He runs like a cheetah
after its prey.
He must be quick or else
lose his chance
and wait another day.

He hops through the forest
of yellow dead grass
in a rabbit-like manner
similar to that of a buck
running from a shotgun.

He is a kitten purring
as he is petted
in a loving manner.
His back even arches
like a cat
when I pet him too!

All in all, he is
many animals more
but listing them all
would surely take
a year.

So I will spare you the grief
and tell you
that 'he' is not at all
a person
or a cheetah
or a rabbit
and he is most certainly
not a cat.

This 'he' is
nothing but a dog
named Gansito
and he is my dog.
But sometimes it seems
he might have been
reincarnated as a dog
from being a completely
different animal.
