Unemployment rife

Around 3 million people lost jobs in April during lockdown level 5, and around 30 percent were not getting an income. This is according to the recent NIDS-CRAM national household survey. Restaurants have been among the most hard-hit during lockdown, only allowed to open for sit-down dining under advanced Level 3. Last week the plight of these employees was highlighted by videos on social media showing queues of jobseekers outside The Bungalow restaurant in Clifton.
