The rain drenched areas with deep water, submerging streets and cars.
Dallas, San Antonio and Austin all had road closures Wednesday morning.
Some 30 flights out of the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport were canceled.
The storms have dropped several inches of rain in North Texas, but not enough to end the state's historic drought.
