Under water in Canada's oil capital, Calgary.

Massive flooding has left at least two people dead and forced 100,000 from their homes.

Streets have turned to rivers.

The floods followed some 36 hours of unusually heavy rainfall - with some communities receiving six months of their normal rainfall in less than two days.

Communities to the south and east of Calgary have been put on high alert as flood waters moved across the region.

But with rainfall easing up, authorities are hopeful that the worst might be over for now.
