Umno renews call for ‘total lockdown’
Description
Umno is urging Putrajaya to consider a "total lockdown" to manage the Covid-19 pandemic which is at the worst-ever level since the outbreak began last year.
Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said the Perikatan Nasional government should consider a full ‘lockdown’ if the number of Covid-19 infections show no sign of declining.
On Thursday Malaysia reported 7,857 new Covid-19 cases with no signs of improvement anywhere in the country.
