2 Views • May 31, 2018
Description
Digital Trends reported that Uber has added a rider panic button that contacts 911 emergency services. There's also a Trusted Contacts safety feature nationwide. Both tools are now accessible from the Uber app home screen. For access, first swipe up on the new safety center icon and tap “911 assistance." Then you'll have to tap again to confirm the call. According to The Verge, the extra tap is required to minimize accidental 911 calls.
