U.S. backs inter-Korean talks on Olympics

The U.S. State Department has reiterated that it supports inter-Korean talks on the Winter Olympics,... but says it doesn't believe it's time to hold negotiations on North Korea's nuclear weapons program.
With South and North Korea having held several rounds of talks this year in regards to the North's participation at the PyeongChang Olympics,... State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert told reporters Thursday,... that the U.S. certainly supports such contacts and conversations,... but it's up to North Korea to lead negotiations on the North's denuclearization.
She added that the U.S. is looking forward to having a "terrific Olympics in Korea".
