U.P minister embarrases state govt

Senior Samajwadi Party minister Azam Khan has said that it is getting difficult to control crime in Uttar Pradesh at a time when his party is battling allegations of poor law and order situation in the state.

"The chief minister has adopted a strict approach towards crime but somehow the situation has not improved," Azam said at a function in Ghaziabad on Independence Day. "UP has witnessed criminal riots rather than communal riots. Most of the rioting was sparked off following incidents of crime with communal colour added to it," Azam added.
