Description

Homes and businesses ripped apart by Typhoon Bopha.

Winds of up to 210 kph, or 130 mph, hit the southern Philippines when the storm made landfall on Tuesday.

At least four people have been killed and others injured by falling trees and debris.

"I was in the kitchen, then I heard a crack. Something fell on the entire house. Everything collapsed."

More than 50,000 have been evacuated to temporary shelters.

Thirteen fishermen were helped to safety after being stranded at sea and battered by large waves.

"We couldn't budge, the waves were too strong. We just waited in the boat."

About 20 typhoons hit the Philippines annually, but this storm is the strongest of the year.
