suppose you're really that different...
you're something better than the rest.
you've got it all figured out...
you're never second best.
you're my idol, you...
you, whoever you may be.
you're who I've been searching for...
the locked door to my key.

I'm not a part of your perfection...
I'm not apart of that system.
I'm trapped in this Petri Dish...
striving to cultivate wisdom.
I stand outside, inside.
wouldn't run
and couldn't hide.
I stand inside the outside...
not content being denied.

how is it there?
do you ever second guess?
are you ego-full?
or are you ego-less?
I want to understand.
I'm curious to know...
what it's like to always be right.
what's it like on your plateau?

so high and low.
you're sky-high, below.
you're what I'd like to be.
you're something.
not a key
to some lost door

something you ignore

age, in a pet store
novelty, faded and sore
something's going to war

war, behind the locked door
