Twisted Moon - Swan's Song

So I'm back to writing and it's all the same
My heart still beats your name
Only now it's more than ever (I'm suffering forever)
Not just in pain.

I just want you so bad
I never should've gotten so mad
I should've listened to what you had to say (but I ran away)
Because I'm just like my dad.

I'm just so afraid
You're so much more than just someone I laid
You're all I think of (the one I l*ve)
The best mistake I ever made.

So I'm breaking my own heart
By pushing you away so we can restart
I knew it wouldn't be easy (and not to sound cheesy)
But I didn't know it would be so hard.

And from the bottom of my heart I apologize
And you smile at me, tears forming in your eyes
You tell me I did nothing wrong (but for so long)
You believed in my lies.

I guess I did it because I want control
Control of my heart, control of my soul
You had way too much power in your hands (the best laid plans)
A terminal goal.

And now I just want you back
But it's all messed up, it's out of wack
If this happens again it has to be right (maybe it might)
But it's courage I lack.

And how can I say I believe in free will?
When you are right there for the taking and I don't seal the deal
I don't know what it is you see (in a wretch like me)
A rotten orange behind a ripe peel

But when I think about our special bond
It is unnatural, it is beyond
In my heart I know this wasn't a trend (this can't be the end)
I am the swan and you are my song.

I just want to cuddle with you in my bed
To stroke your hair and kiss your forehead
To feel ur soft legs against mine (intertwined)
To know that our l*ve will never be dead
