Tunisia: Nidaa Tounes faces split as lawmakers quit
1 Views • Jan 14, 2016
Description
Tunisia's moderate Islamist party Ennahdha becomes the largest in parliament after a wave of resignations from the president's Nidaa Tounes party. This comes as the country celebrates five years since the uprising that ushered in the Arab Spring.
Also, in DR Congo, critics of President Kabila are unconvinced that his motivation in calling for national dialogue is above board. Many believe he's angling to remain in power beyond the two terms allowed by the constitution.
And we meet Beninese artist Julien Sinzogen, who has made Paris his home but continues to be inspired by the country of his birth.
