Tsunami HiroshiSu - The Toy Box

There it sits
Alone in the corner
Dust blown across the lid
Untouched, unused

There you sit
Alone and board
You’ve read your books, played with your dolls
But the toy box sits untouched, unused

You walk across the floor
Staring at the box
You kneel there before it; brush the dust off the top
And open it, now touched, now used

All the wonderful toys, never been played with,
Never been used
You wonder why
Everything inside brand-new

The world is like that box
Full of wonderful things, but people just walk right by
Untouched, unused
Waiting for the right person to open it up.
