I thought I knew back then,
But suddenly its become clear.

Wait one second while I adjust the happy, go girl mask,
That hides the cold and broken interior.

Stop! Don't come to close!
You may catch a glimpse of my true icy touch.
It's not my fault I've lost all my warmth,
Tugging the covers to consume the heat,
But really its what lies beneath.
The burning fire inside has died,
When you poured the water over it,
Seeping the colour from my eyes,
Stealing my honest smile.

Only finding freedom in fiction,
As always...
