Trysta Due - Sincerely Sorry

I know what I did was wrong
Having said things I didn't mean,
And I regret all that's happened
For I should've just seen,

That I was acting out of anger
Not meaning the things I said,
Now I've lost a good friend
As I lay here in my bed,

This is written to that person
And I think he knows it,
But I just want to apologize
And say that I know I deserve it,

All the things we had
Were things I haven't felt since,
And ever since the fight
Just thinking about it makes me wince,

He hasn't left my mind
And I wish he was still my friend,
For I told him everything
Right down to the very end,

I hope he reads this poem
And sees that I'm sincere,
For not having him to talk to
Brings me closer to tears.
